In 1932, the Leningrad Institute of the brain "was given the task to start experimental study of telepathy with the aim, if possible, to find out its physical nature." Scientific management research was entrusted Leonid Vasiliev. It was a good choice. Vasiliev worked at the Brain Institute in the autumn of 1921 and took a direct part in the study of telepathic phenomena, held Director of the Institute Academician Bekhterev; after his death in 1927, Vasiliev continued the work already on their own initiative, and in 1932 he was asked to lead the scientific theme of leadership.
