Unfortunately, the views of Armistice Commission did not find the full support of the High Command of the Wehrmacht, although the latter ratio was more generous than the part of the Italians. During Syria's defense in the beginning of 1941 the French troops under the command of General Denttsa, who was later sentenced to death, have shown a real determination to survive. The main reason for their defeat was in the wrong gear and lack of ammunition, which was kidnapped Italian inspectors. Supporting measures, such as the transport of troops, equipment and aircraft from France, the Germans made their way over the objections of the Italians. However, all of this equipment, and supplies were too late, partly due to the protracted negotiations between the two Armistice Commission.
