Book review

Hank Nickles is returning home to Oklahoma, to live with his daughter. Retired Country & Western singer, sometime cowboy film star, he is leaving Hollywood Manor, a retirement home in Los Angeles, for a dreaded homecoming. He hates leaving and dreads the homecoming, but through a series of memories, which include his running friendship with Patsy Cline, he slowly comes to terms with his past. Cranky and funny, Hank sees the world around him through different eyes and comments on it in the metaphorical, lyrical idiom of the southerner.
