So they chatted - cute, lively, fun, drink a few glasses of brandy and then went home to Carlotta. Meredith wandered the living room, looked at her book, stopping to look at art books, occupying two large shelves on either side of the fireplace. She made coffee and watched him from the kitchen through an open door - as he looks around the room, not sniffing out anything, and just having fun watching her things and getting to know her character in the books, reading lamps, paintings and drawings. And he was getting too close to her. She liked his looks, like the fact that he immediately fit into the environment and the apartment felt here comfortable and natural. She liked the way he carefully studied the small picture Degas - tiny, quite unnoticeable, although, of course, it was the best exhibit in the room, which is very expensive, because this figure to give her mark their first anniversary.
